What types of porta potties can you rent?

Five unit types cover almost every rental: the standard porta potty, the flushing unit with a sink, the wheelchair-accessible unit, the freestanding hand-washing station and the restroom trailer. Standard units handle most jobs. The others solve a specific problem like formal guests, mobility needs, food handling or no indoor bathroom.

Sizes are approximate. Ask for exact dimensions if your gate or path is tight.

How do the porta potty types compare on features and limits?

The biggest differences between porta potty types are flushing, hand washing, wheelchair access and hookups. Only the restroom trailer needs power and water. Flushing units and hand-washing stations can freeze on hard winter nights. Accessible units need firm, level ground for a wheelchair approach.

Is an event porta potty different from a construction porta potty?

An event porta potty and a construction porta potty share the same basic design. The difference is condition and servicing. Event units go out freshly cleaned and stocked for a short stay. Job-site units stay for weeks and get pumped, cleaned and restocked every week on a 28-day cycle.

For a backyard party, ask for an event-ready unit. For a remodel or new build, the job-site plan with weekly service is the better value. See event rentals and job-site rentals.

Will a porta potty fit through my gate?

A standard porta potty is about 44 inches wide and 48 inches deep, so it rolls through a typical 48-inch side gate on a dolly. Accessible units and restroom trailers do not fit through side gates. Measure the narrowest point on the path and say it when you call.

Low branches, soft lawn after rain and steps on the path matter as much as gate width. The driver needs a fairly level, firm route from the truck. Read the delivery checklist before your date.

Questions renters ask

What is the cheapest kind of porta potty to rent?

The standard porta potty is the lowest-cost unit to rent. Adding a hand-washing station next to standard units usually costs less than switching every unit to a flushing model. Restroom trailers cost the most because of size, hookups and setup time.

Can I mix unit types in one order?

One order can mix unit types. A common setup is several standard units, one wheelchair-accessible unit and one hand-washing station. Mixed orders share one delivery and one pickup.

Do any porta potties have a sink inside?

The flushing unit has a foot-pump sink inside, and restroom trailers have full sinks. Standard and accessible units use hand sanitizer instead. A freestanding hand-washing station adds two sinks outside any unit.

Can I get a photo of the unit before delivery?

Photos of each unit type are on its page, and we can text a photo of the model going to your address. Styles and colors vary with stock, but the features listed stay the same.
